I was an Air Force Brat and we were stationed in Turkey when Baby Go came for christmas. All the Turkish kids on the block would beg to come and play with her. She was the most amazing toy they had ever seen. Two years she and I romed all over that base. I even had my Mom do my hair to match hers. When we left, I gave her to a Turkish girl who seemed to love her as much as I did. She never had a doll before Baby Go.

I'm sitting here at work with my co-worker remembering all the cool toys we had growing up. I remember Christmas morning, there she was under the tree just waiting on me. She was smiling and her hair was so shiny. I feel like crying right now seeing the picture of her on this site. I truly loved my Baby Go Bye Bye.

When I first got my baby go bye bye doll I was almost 5 yrs old. My father bought it for me. That was the last time I saw my father. We moved and while moving my doll got lost. I cried for her for a very long time. Seeing her picture brings back very nice memories of my dad, when he gave her to me and how happy I was getting her. I wish I never lost her. After not seeing my father for along time. She was my security blanket and as long as I had her my dad would always be with me.

A few years ago, my parents sent me a box of stuff from my childhood and in it was my Baby Go Bye-Bye. It is still in the original box, complete with instructions, the car, and the doll. It was my favorite Christmas gift - the one thing that I really wanted Santa to bring. Someday, I hope to give it to a grandchild.

I loved my Baby Go Bye Bye! I got her for Christmas (I think in 1971) and my cousin also got one for Christmas that year. My buggy was pink but my cousin's buggy was blue. I still have her along with several other dolls that I managed to keep over the years. My 2 year old daughter now enjoys my old dolls.

As all others have mentioned, she was an awesome childhood memory! I think I still have her buggy in the attic, but unfortunately she herself has never surfaced. I doubt her buggy would still run, wouldn't that be something. I received her in the 60's.

Oh, seeing this so saddens me. I got a baby go bye bye with her buggy in 1971. I was 4 yrs old and so proud. I took her to school for show in tell when i reached 5. You don't know how I thought I was "it" on the block having this doll and car. One day though, my dream ended (hehe) when some type of liquid all leaked from the bottom of buggy. My baby go bye bye was now a walker. This is true, and I wish I still had it.

My best friend and I often received the same toys at Christmas and one year we both received this doll! She was almost to pretty to play with! Unfortunately, I wasn't really a doll person. I just liked looking at her! I still have the doll and car, mint condition, at my mom's house. I need to get her on display with my little Skediddle dolls.

Hi, I still have my baby go bye bye and her car. I am not sure if they still work or not I havent tried lately (more like decades). I remember getting this very cool doll. My uncle brought her home to me when he came home from vietnam. I was not sure what Vietnam was but it must have been a really great place to have such a wonderful toy. How great to see things like a child does. Mine is still in pretty good shape except for her hair. My little sister washed it for me while I was at school and proceded to dry it with a electric heater so one pony tail is kind glued to itself on the ends. From what i have been told my uncle was never the same after his trip to nam but he probably could not have known how glad a little girl was when he came home.

I had a hate-love relationship with my Baby Go Bye Bye- I think because I secretly loved her so much I couldn't stand it! LOL! call me a REALLY WEIRD KID but I called mine "SUZY AND THE RAT GANG" and used to throw her at my bedroom door- I thought I HAD to do that so no one would know I loved her so much. I used to think she was the head gang leader of this lot of plastic premium "rat finks" I had which were each a different solid colour, about 1-1.5" high who used to "live" in the chimmney of my doll house. God I was nuts!

I have the doll pictured above, as well as another "wobbly" doll with blonde hair and wearing a pink & white dress (the skirt of the dress is white with pink roses)I have been searching for a couple of years now trying to find out what these two dolls were called. They are like new, and I only had the tags on them to go by. This morning I opened this site, and behold, there was my doll at the top of the page..yellow dress, pigtails & all! I had no idea she came with a car - i receieved her from my grandparents back in the early 70's and I dont recall recieveing a car with her~ Does anyone know if the other doll is also a Baby Go Bye Bye, but just different version?

I am a Mom who has kept almost everything. My daughter who is 39 keeps telling me to get rid of stuff, that is until she found her Baby Go Bye Bye and the Pink Buggy, with even the instruction sheet. She was thrilled that it was in such shape, but minus the dress. The doll is still wearing the original panties, but the elastic is bad. If anyone has the original dress and wants to sell it, please email me. Thank you!

This doll....the commercials. Priceless. I wanted it so bad. I was at the gae though which is now called pre-tween. I thought I'd get made fun of so I didn't ask for it.
My brothers begged me to ask for it. I guess so they could torture her, and make her car do wild stunts.
I'm so sorry I thought I'd be weird getting her.

I was talking to a friend who referred to me as a doll after sending a goodie package for Christmas as what type of doll that I was. I was definitely not Barbie or Betsy Wetsy -- I thought of Drowsy, probably in my post 20's stage. But, now I think of myself as Baby Go Bye, Bye -- I loved that doll. She was so cool. The way that her head bopped from side to side as she tooled along. I don't know when my mom bought mine. I just recall stumbling across it when I was a student in college and reveeing it up to show my little cousin, then a toddler, now in her mid-20's -- what's so cool about this doll. She was fascinated about it as well. I especially loved how you could lift up the car and change the little blue plastic thingys (the name escapes me now) to change the direction and movement of the car. I think I'll ask my mom, if I am still such a proud owner -- if I'm lucky, my mom never throws anything away. Baby Go Bye Bye U ROCK!!!!

I did a search to see if I could find out about getting a car for my old Baby Go Bye Bye doll. WOW! I didn't expect to find so many people's memories about this doll online. I don't know how old I was when I got mine....the only memories I have is that I "think" my dad ran over the car after I left it in the yard and that I had played dolls in the bed of my neighbor's granddaddy's truck and left Baby in there naked and her clothes blew out when he drove somewhere. Ha-Ha!!! I guess I was "traumatized" by both losses so I remembered them. I have my doll in a curio cabinet now...I still take her out from time to time and make her wobble her cute little head!!

I can't believe I found this doll. I have looked on-line before for my Baby-Go-Bye-Bye and this is the first time I have run across a picture of her. I got mine for Christmas (I must have been about 6 or 7) and I remember that toy. I loved her so much. My mom would move the dining room table so that I could play with it and it would go like crazy. This really brings back a lot of happy memories!

Wow!! What a blast from the past! I got my Baby Go Bye Bye as a Christmas gift when I was 5. I LOVED this doll immensely! She went to the hospital w/ me when I was 6 1/2, and even got her own hospital bracelet. She was my constant playmate. Loved the car too..it was just way too cute. The little motor for the car diea long ago and got tossed. But I kept the car for many many years. Somehow it ended up in the trash. But I still have the doll, with tattered dress, missing undies, and almost bald-totally loved to bits!

Wow! I just found my baby go bye bye in my hope chest and gave it to my two year old daughter, she loves it. I do not have the car or anything because my big brother (fixed it) for me once, but what a great toy it was while it worked. I remember coming home to find the car in pieces on the floor and I have not been the same since. I vowed to destruct something of my brothers one day in return. I loved that doll like nothing else and although the car got trashed I held on to her until just about all her hair fell out. I wish they made toys like that now days. If you have one hold on to it, they are a real treasure.

I remember I wanted one of these dolls soooo much. One day I was riding in our family van just a week or so before Christmas and I happened to look in the cargo space and saw THE box. I asked my mom what that box was doing in the van and staying calm she said that the post office was in need of boxes and she found some and was donating them. Being 7 years old or so, I believed her and kept wishing that I would get a Baby Go Bye Bye. Come Christmas morning there she was! I had great fun with her but my brothers bumped her little buggy down the from the 2nd story stairs one too many times and the buggy is long gone. I still have the doll though (even though she is dressed in fancier clothes that I stole off one of my sister's dolls) and that little vinyl doll still smells just like the day I got her and breathed her in :)

Hi, I don't know what got me thinking about my "Baby go bye bye", but, I am on a search to buy one now. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know! Thanks

I am a 58 year old Grandmother and I still have my daughters Baby Go Bye Bye and her car. Yes, it still works! Recently I found it in the attic and showed it to my 4 year old Grand Daughter and she hasn't put it down yet! I put new batteries in the car and that cute butterfly still turns it on and it goes round and round. I was surprised that it was in such good condition and worked. Now she and her mother have it for 30 more years of fun.

I did a search on the web after I was digging in my hope chest and found my favorite doll - my Baby Go Bye Bye in Her Bumpety Buggy. I have never seen pictures or any other one ever. I saw one on a web site that sold for $235 and couldn't believe it. I guess I kept a good doll. I was not a doll person, I loved cars and really wanted a train for Christmas, but when I got a Baby Go Bye Bye - I played with her (mostly the car) all the time. I remember putting my cat in to see him drive. He was a cat that let me and my siter dress him in doll clothes. I had gotten her out maybe once since putting her in the chest to see if the car still works and I was sooooo glad to find it still working. Thanks for the memories!!!

Oh MY GOD! I am having a blast looking up my old dolls! My mouth dropped when I saw this picture. Has made me realize that even though my parents didn't have a lot of money, I was the luckiest little girl because I had a lot of these dolls from the 60's, obviously my parents made sure I never went with out. Plus I was a total mushy girl and dolls where my best friends and my baby's. Then my little brother came along... yuk. Love my brother but wish I had kept the dolls. Mom used to do a big clean out and my things would disappear.

Strange as it may sound, boys had an interest in this item! I wanted my sisters to ask for one so bad because I was so fascinated by the car. I remember being in kindergarten at the time and when the teacher asked us all what we were hoping Santa Claus would bring many of the girls requeset a Baby go Bye-Bye. But not my dear sisters.
Was Baby Go Bye-Bye any relation to Baby Small Talk, which one of my sisters received instead?

Baby Go Bye Bye was a favorite of mine! She was adorable and I loved her car. I've seen her listed before on ebay. You could probably find her through the classifieds of a doll collector magazine as well. Wish I'd never given mine away. She was in terrific condition. I used to let Barbie drive her car b/c although Barbie's car was cool, it didn't WORK and Baby's did. I can still picture Barbie bumping along in that car with the butterfly ignition key........

I came upon this site because i am trying to find a baby go bye bye for my mom for her birthday. She told me a long time ago that she had this doll and the car and it was her most favorite doll and she was going to save it for me (if she had a daughter someday). Unfortunately when my mom was a teenager my grandma had thrown it away not knowing that she wanted to keep it for a future daughter. Shes mentioned it a couple times so i thought i would try to find an original one (buggy and all) for her birthday, but its not as easy as i hoped it to be! Anyway..thanks for letting me share!

I too had a Baby Go Bye Bye, in fact I just typed her in Google to see if I could find a picture of her. I remember getting her for Christmas when I was about five, and I even remember the six-sided box she came in. The batteries corroded in the car so that's long gone but I still have the doll at my parent's house. I had several dozen dolls when I was a kid but Baby Go Bye Bye rises above the rest.

My sister and I each got a Baby Go Bye Bye and my sister, who must have been about 5 years old, for some reason named hers 'Suzy and the Rat Gang'. We used to have some toy mice that we often played with with other toys and the television of the era was about children's 'gangs' and 'clubs' and groups...so I don't know if that influenced it or not. I remember my Suzy's best friend was another doll named Polly something or other who came with inflatable furniture and lived under the card table covered with a vinyl table cloth that looked like a playhouse...and guess we all played with them on the kitchen floor! They don't make big kitchens like the ones we had as kids anymore do they? Or maybe we were just small and the floors seemed like towns and oceans and giant checker boards. good memories.

This was always my favorite doll! Every year it seemed I got a new doll for Christmas, but I never let go of my Baby Go Bye-Bye. In fact, when I was about 15, I donated all my dolls to charity, except for this one. My sister and I both each had one and we loved to watch them go all over the floor. My fondest memory is perfecting her little hair buns. I would put my fingers under the hair and comb it around my finger and make sure they were perfect all the way around without any gaps! I still have the doll but unfortunately, I don't have the buggy. She sits in my living room on the laps of large porcelain Grandpa and Grandma dolls and I wouldn't trade her for anything!

I was about 2 or 3 when I got this as a Christmas gift. The car has long since been lost (and to tell you the truth, I don't even remember the car), but I still have the doll ~ Margaret, as I lovingly refer to her. I just dug her out of my attic and gave her a bath, put her on some new clothes and handed her over to my 14 month old.

Hi there I'm Christine from Ohio and what memories this doll has brought back to me. I couldn't tell you the age I received her but I can tell you that she was my favorite doll of all! I can remember playing with her on the kitchen floor and pretending that she was going shopping, the most funniest memory was when my dog would start to bark at her and try to chase her down. but when my dog would come up to her the car would run her right over. lol.. I'll never forget that.. so many memories about her.. And I still have her! she is packed neatly in her box and every so often I take her out and look at her. Now being a Mother of 2 daughters I want to share my special memories about her with my children..
