Thank you for letting me share my memories. I remember this toy like it was yesterday. It was in the mid 1960's when I got my Bizzy Buzz-buzz and remember it like it was yesterday. I got it for Christmas and played with it a lot till I took it apart to see that makes it tick. Too bad that I didn't squirrel it away, now that I do eBay and getting great sales on some vintage toys that I get my hands on.

My sister and I shared it and played with it. I even still have my nightstand that I used and recently noticed the squiggly lines it must have pressed into the surface through the paper.

Yes, It was a fun toy and I still remember the TV ads for it.

Thank you again.

One of my most disconcerting memories regarding Christmas involves Bizzy Buzz Buzz. I remember watching the commercials and wanting one really bad. We didn’t have a lot of money so Christmas usually meant sticky rock candy at the bottom of a stocking. Anyway, I opened my present and there is was. I was so happy! I immediately opened the box and to my dismay I found that it did not work. Mom and Dad said “we’ll send it back and have it replaced”. I never saw it again! I have carried that memory for decades. I am thinking, now at 48, eBay might be a good way top resolve this dilemma.

I have just stumbled upon this site and I am having fun reading all these entries about toys I played with as a kid.

BIZZY BUZZ BUZZ!! I was recently trying to tell a group of people at work about this toy and they all looked at me like I was out of my mind! They asked if perhaps I was “BUZZED” myself, to have recalled this toy from my memory bank!

I’m glad that you all remember it fondly! I especially remember the mono-toned voice of the kid in the commercial “Bizzy Buzz Buzz” . I also played with my Spirograph…remember that, too? I made greeting cards and stationery with my Spirograph and my Bizzy Buzz Buzz.

I am originally from Nova Scotia, Canada, and our family was visiting relatives there about 1968. Our daughter was about 5 and took her Bizzy Buzz Buzz on vacation with her. The precious toy was mistakenly left at someone's house and we never saw it again. She was broken-hearted. She is 44, I am 71 and would like to surprise her with the toy for Christmas. Yes she mentions it, up to this day. Where oh where can I buy one. Did Scrooge steal it or was it The Grinch? Please help me find another.

I also remember Bizzy Buzz Buzz scissors - very blunt blades -- in, I think 1960. I haven't found any reference to them anywhere on the net or on ebay.

I wanted to punch the kid in the face that was on the commercial everytime I saw it. His hair was cut at a slant and his nose was shoved up like a pig from what I remember. He looked at the camera and with a sick little half-smile would say "Bizzy Buzz Buzz" and I wanted to cream him every time. But oh, what I wouldn't do today to see that commercial again. Today it would be hillarious.

Does anyone remember scissors that were red and shaped like a bee? Kind of like Busy Buzz - but they were electric scissors - very small round tip blades

My memory is of the bizzy buzz buzz commercial and my younger brother. He'd always make fun of the commercial..."I want a bizzy buzz buzz", he'd say in a silly voice.

We spent Christmas with my grandparents, aunt and uncle, and cousins...and on Christmas morning, from Santa Claus, brother got a bizzy buzz buzz!!! Everyone laughed at him (of course he was horribly embarrassed cause he was "too old" for it) and we've never let him forget it!

YEs, i never had one, im much too young, but my Uncle had one, and my mother, who is younger than him, she took it away from him, so then he ripped it out of her hand n ran after her n jammed it into her back and turned it on... nice loving family...He never frgave her because my Nana took it away from him after than. So we decided to try and find a Bizzy Buzz Buzz Pen for him and his Birthday with a Sorry card instead of a Birthday card... Where could we find a stupid toy like that? Thanks, E

I think the only thing I remember about "Bizzy Buzz Buzz" was the cheesy comercials they had, when the kid said, "Bithy Buth Buth". It was so weird!!!!

I was five years old in 1968 when I got my bizzy buzz buzz pen for Christmas. I remember being able to change the colors of ink. When you turned it on, it vibrated in your hand as if the bee was buzzing. It was very fun to play with. I only wish I had it today, but my mom did not keep it. Seeing a picture of it on this site made think back and smile knowing I have that memory....Thanks, Richelle

I worked at "BargainTown USA" (a.k.a. Toys-R-Us) the christmas sesason that Bizzy Buzz Buzz was first in the stores. I lasted exactly one day and I have always attributed that fact to the incredible demand for that stupid toy! I don't think 30 seconds went by without someone asking where in the store they could find it. At the end of the day I decided I would not return and instead found seasonal work at the U.S. Postal Service sorting packages in sublime silence. Thanks for the memories Bizzy!

I absolutely loved Bizzy Buzz Buzz. I got one for 3 Christmases. I don't know why it made me so happy. I would draw doodle poodles and anything else: doodle houses and clouds. I have never forgotten Bizzy Buzz Buzz.

My brother is turning 50 and my nine brothers and sisters want to get him a flash back present - we have decided that bizzy buzz buzz will be the idea gift after a few cocktails - where can I buy one?

A bizzy buzz buzz presentation may take down the house down at this gathering!

My Grandma bought this for me, because the night before I got it, I had a dream about a toy like this and the next day we went to Sears, and I found the toy I had dreamed about the night before. This is the coolest toy, and I want to find refill pens for it and get some batteries and use it, can anyone tell me where I can find these pens or will any type of none fancy colored reills work? Another toy I forgot I had. I was slightly anxious when I used it, I thought the buzzing and vibration meant there was a lot of voltage running through it. Got it in kindergarten, 1969.

My friend had this toy, and to this day, I still am trying to figure out the potency of the LSD acid the toy designer dropped before he dreamed up this little beauty. What's the purpose of a vibrating pen that is hard to hold on to? As cool as some of the toys were from the sixties and seventies, there were also some pretty asenine ones also. This one definitely makes the top ten of lame toys. It holds nothing more than a fond memory as far as connecting me to a specific time and place in my life when this toy was around, that's all.

It was a bee-like chasis that held a pen tip at the end of the nose. There were several different colored pens that could be interchanged. Battery opperated the pen would rotate in circles that could be adjusted in circumference. Ultimately, you couldn't create any great results, just kid's art made up of scribbly looking lines.
