I am one of seven children. When I was around 8 years old we all loaded into our family station wagon and made a road trip from Prince George , British Columbia , Canada down to Mexico. This was in the 50's. It was a huge adventure for a Northern Canadian family to make all squished into one very hot car. Well somewhere along the way in the States we all were given a toy. Mine was an all red Zippy Monkey. He was the most wonderful and honored friend for me at that age. Well we all arrived at a travel Motel each afternoon and excitedly ran as fast as possible trying to beat each other into the unit to score the little bar of soap in the bathroom. We only stayed one night in each place and we would leave as quickly as we had arrived. Well in one Southern State Motel I had placed my Zippy on a bed with his head resting on a pillow while I got ready to leave. That was while I was packing things to the family car. Well once we were on the road I remembered my Red Zippy lying on the bed but it was too late to convince my Dad to go back and retrieve him. I was broken hearted at that point. I now had forgotten all about him until I was cruising ebay one night. There were a few Zippys listed but not one solid red Zippy. I did bid on a red/cream coloured Zip and won it. So now I will await the arrival of an old memory from 50 years ago. I have four grandchildren now and one of them hopefully will enjoy Zippy. So that is the story of the Red Motel Zippy Monkey.

I grew up in Central Texas and had a Zip doll as a kid. He had belonged to my mother or uncle, I believe, but was given to me when I was born around 1965. I loved Zip. I slept with him until I was about 10 years old. We watched Saturday morning cartoons together and I took him with me on explorations around my grandparents' ranch. Even though I had quit sleeping with him and taking him with me on my adventures, he sat on my bed at the ranch until 1985. That was the year my grandfather died and I found out the ranch would be sold. I felt that Zip was a part of my childhood and of that ranch. The thought of removing him from there broke my heart. So at the age of 19, I placed Zip in a large coat box, along with the pillow he always lay on, and a couple other of my childhood toys, and I hiked down below the ranch house on the banks of the Ed Smith Draw, and under an oak tree, I dug a deep hole. I placed the box inside of it, poured diesel on it, and set in on fire. I watched it burn and cried. It was a powerful goodbye to my childhood. I then filled dirt in over the ashes. I still think of Zip from time to time.

I had a monkey named Zippy - but he had yellow fur tummy, black arms and legs and red suspenders his hands were rubber (no banana)he had a rubber face and ears and wore white shoes. My folks bought him at the OG&E in Oklahoma in approximately 1958. I have been looking for one like him for many years and as yet have not found him. I believe he was probably a knock off of the Zip from Howdy Doody

Dear Reader: My cousin had a zip the monkey, and i was allof 2 when i was visiting her. I fell in love with it, as we were leaving her house I cried to take the monkey with me. She didn't want to part with her monkey. I cried so hard , her mom made her part with it and I went home with a new friend that day. Today he has no banana, or squeeky sound, and his hair is matted down, some of his fingers are missing for passing off as teething rings for my brothers. I would love to find another one to replace it for her, after all these years. After all she really didn't want to give it up freely. I think it would be a great surprise to send it to her out of the blue, especially before she becomes a grandmother.

The other night we were talking about toys that we loved - mine were clearly Zip and Tip! (Thanks to my pal Nanny for sending this link. I am feeling all nostalgic). I couldn't wait to receive Zip and Tip for Christmas. Mine, too, as others said, had no name accross the front - just simple chimp clothing and a squeaky arm. Do you remember how cuddly they were - like a real animal? What a hoot...I am filled with smiles. Jen 1967

OH MY GOD!! I so remember my Zip Monkey. I called him Zappo. I got him and Tippy as a Birthday gift from my Grandpa when I was born on June 15, 1974. I have to say that they were the best toys I have ever had. I played with them and took them everywhere I went. My Zappo, went through sooo many surgeries. He had his ears sewn back on, his mouth sewed back together...and god just so many things...but I wouldnt give that monkey up. I think that is why i have such a monkey infatuation now. I love MONKEYS!! ZIP RULES!!

I see my mom (Virginia)wrote on here about my favorite toy as a child... Zip "Zippy" I now consider the one solid link to my inner child.. my husband says I have become obsessed with acquiring just the perfect one like mine (which does not mean like new lol)I have now received my first Zippy and a Tippy from Ebay and have one more coming.. I love the little guy just wish he had all his clothes. Zippy went everywhere with me as a child and now that I have one again I find it hard not to want to take him everywhere with me again to show off my wonderful find(now that might be a little creepy at 34) I am still looking at more zip monkeys in hopes of the full outfit and even maybe one in mint condition... again my husband says I am obsessed (I guess he is right lol) Some I see have wrote on here detailing what I have read is actually a Mr. Bim or they might even have the newer version of Zip by Dakin that did have a banana either way alot of people list them as Zip or Zippy on Ebay.. happy hunting everyone and keep on loving the monkey :)

My monkey came to me in 1956. It had no zip written on the yellow upper body. His leggs were black with white rubber tennis shoes. He had rubber hands, eears, and face, also.
He was my favorite toy my childhood long. I packed him in the basement when I grew up, where after years, he sustained irreversible water damage.
Can anyone out there find a monkey like mine, to heal the inner child who lost him?

I've had Zip as long as I can remember. My daddy gave him to me and has called me Zippy ever since. I am now 52 years old. My zip was well loved and taken everywhere. His hair is matted and his clothes are not in great condition. Like several others he too is missing the tip from one of his fingers. Love bites I'm sure.

My dad has a "Zip" but we've always called him "Zippy". A few years ago my grandma finally let Zippy go home with my dad. I think all of the grandkids (great ones too) love Zippy. He's a bit on the creepy side (with the rubber face and hands) but I always had a fascination with monkeys. Our poor Zip doesn't have all of his fingers. My grandma used to run a small in home daycare--she says that's why our poor little guy is missing some his digits. Now I know why I couldn't find him online, I had the wrong name. I am so glad I know the name, I've been wanting to find some clothes for him.

When I was about four years old, i used to go down to a neighbor's garage and "steal" their Zip monkey from a box of toys. They would call down to my house and say "Kathie took the monkey again"; my sisiter would have to return it. They should have given me that monkey whenI look back on it. Now, some 40 odd years later, I bought one on ebay. Haven't gotten him yet, but can't wait to see him!

My monkey, which I didn't know was Zippy until recently when I went looking for one on ebay, was something I carried with me daily and slept with every night. I recall that I actually chewed on the banana regularly until I had knawed a hole in it, revealing a stiff wire that was the under-support for the banana, which EVENTAULLY led to my folks getting rid of the little guy. I can remember actually feeling the wire on the roof of my mouth, which was no cause for major alarm right away. It was after all a small country town in Tennessee and it was the early 60s. And I loved my Zippy.

My mom found Zip at a Taco Bell when she was pregnant with me in 1979 and no one claimed him. He was old then but she cleaned him up and gave him to me when I was born. I've had him over 25 years and although both Zip and I are much older, I don't think I'll ever be able to part with him. His arm no longer squeaks, there is a small tear between two of his fingers, and he's a little worn on his backside but other than that he has held up beautifully, and I imagine I'll be passing him along to my children someday.

I am thrilled to know that so many others have enjoyed Zippy as much as I have. I don't remember exactly how old I was when I got Zippy, but I know that he was my favorite doll. I carried him everywhere, slept with him, he sat at the dinner table with me, and he came with me whenever I had to go somewhere with my Mom. He was family. I had to get rid of alot of my toys because I had no room to store them and I got rid of alot of meaningful toys but I kept Zippy. However, he is falling apart. Alot of his stuffing has come out, and I've had him sewed up several times when I was a kid. I also drew on his sneakers and tried to make them into pro-keds. But he is still with me stored in a rubber bin. I wish I could figure out a way to make him like new again so that I could keep him out on my bed. I went in search of zippy to see if I could find a new one. Even if I do buy a new one, I'll still keep my Zippy.

Oh my gosh,
I just decided to do a search on Zippy because he just came to mind. I don't have Zippy anymore because my mom felt that I was to old to have teddy bears. I fought hard to keep him, but one day while at school she got rid of him. I cried forever it seemed. I was 3 when I got Zippy and had him until I was 12. I wish that I could find another Zippy. It was great to see that so many others enjoyed Zippy.

Hello, Sorry, I did not have Zip the monkey, My sister and I each had a Mr. Bim monkey. He had black legs and arms, yellow chest/belly area with white plastic tennis shoes. He had a banana in his right hand. I have pictures of us holding them in 1968 - 1970. We lost our monkies many years ago when we were still children. I was able to find one by accident on e-bay while searching for a wind up monkey with cymbols. I bid on him and won. I am going to send him to my sister for a surprise and see if she remembers him.

I Love Zip I still have mine and i'm now 38. He lives on a shelf in my closet. When I first got Zip I was about 8 or 10. I didnt like his arm squeeking when I rolled over on him while sleeping at night. So I punctured the squeeking balloon in his arm with a pin. To this day I still feel guilty about forever silencing Zip!!

I can't take him with me to college because he's falling apart, so he lives in my room and waits for me to come home from school!!

My Zip the Monkey was named Sam. I didn't know his "true identity" as Zip until today, when I decided today to search on Ebay for him. I was born in 1957 and my Uncle Raymond gave him to me as a gift. He was truly one of my favorite childhood possessions. I was so fascinated by his rubber hands, face, and little white shoes. He was my constant pal. Our time together was cut short. We were in the process of moving from one house to another. Our toys were still at the first house. Someone broke in a stole all of our toys. Heartbreaking event in a child's life :(. Anyway--glad to see that this little guy was important to others!

I also had a monkey similar to Zip bought in the early 70's but he did not have on this outfit. He had the little plastic tennis shoes, yellow top, banana in his hand. Plastic face and ears. His name was little monkey. I played with him instead of my dolls. My sister would take her doll to the park and swing it and I would take Little monkey. I took him everywhere and when he would get a hole in him my grandma would take him and sew him back up. We had a house fire when I was 16 and grandma acutally got the smoke out of him somehow. I still have little monkey and he is one of my most important possessions. I think my uncle bought him for me originally. I also had a bigger version of him when I was three called big monkey but I am unsure what happened to him. Long live little monkey.

Zippy was given to me by my cousin. I loved that monkey even when the stuffing was falling out of him, holes in the knees in his pants, and his head nearly came off. I sewed and sewed trying to keep my best friend together. As I grew up and went off to college...I put him on my pillow at home on my bed...and I when I was home on break...my friend was there waiting for me. Alas, Zippy was thrown away by my father...and I was crushed. "He was old, tatted and torn.." my father told me as tears ran down my 20 year old face. So, when I saw him on Ebay...My heart grew with hope that one day...I would get the highest bid and have Zippy back again...I still am hoping.....one day I will have best friend to share with my son...

I believe I got my Zip Monkey for Christmas when I was about 6 yrs. old. (1966) I never knew he was from Howdy Doody--before my time. I also never imagined there were so many other kids out there who loved their Zips as much as I did. I played with him and carried him with me everywhere. Poor Zip survived a tremendous amount of abuse including a kidnapping and dunking in the toilet by my little cousin who was mad because he wanted Zip to be his. Zip subsequently survived a trip through the washer (I had already given him baths). When I was about 12 yrs. old, my neice claimed him and the saga continued. Once when she was about 6 or 7 my dad took her home (around 90 miles) only to find that Zip had been left behind. She was so upset that grandpa dutifully drove the 180 mile round trip to retrieve Zip so that she could sleep. Next, her little sister took Zip and by the time she outgrew playing with him he was ragged and covered with patches and had bald spots all over his fur. Finally, after nearly 20 years his squeaker quit working and it looked as if he would be retired. Somehow my mother ended up with Zip and gave him back to me. Despite the numerous surgeries to repair torn seams and patch him, and the fact that his clothes had worn out and been replaced, his plastic parts were still in surprisingly good condition. I couldn't bear to send him to monkey heaven and set him on a shelf. Almost immediately, my children took him and played and played with him. Finally there was little left but his rubber face and hands and white shoes held together with pathetic looking rubbed bare and patched fur, reluctantly, I threw him away. Soon after that my mother called to tell me she had found me a new Zip at an antique store. But before she could get him to me, my niece's children found him. It was love at first sight and they still have him. (these are the 3 children of the niece who took my first Zip). So I am hoping to find yet another Zip monkey--but now I have grandchildren... Does anybody understand what it is about this crazy monkey that everybody loves so much?? Sure he's cute and he was obviously extremely well made, but he seems to have an unusually strong charisma that I don't understand. Nevertheless it was wonderful to find that I was not the only one who still loves Zip!!

Zippy was my birthday present when I was in first grade in 1954. We didn't have a lot of toys back then and I much didn't care for dolls. He was my friend and confidant! He went everywhere with me -- pajama parties, camp, college, and marriage. He grew up with my own children. Somehow he made his way to the attic and I came across him while I was cleaning it out. I figured I didn't need a bald, naked chimp anymore so I tossed him. I regretted it ever since! I desperately wanted him back and I searched high and low for him for years with no luck. I finally found him on ebay along with his brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc that I never knew he had!
People have told me so many similar Zippy stories and sent me pictures of their beloved Zippy. Zip wasn't just a stuffed animal to kids back then -- he was friend, a protector in the night, a stuffed security blanket in the form of a litle chimp.

I had one of these when I was about 3 or 4 only he was called, "MR. BIM". He must have been advertised on TV or something because I remember wanting him so badly -- and how else would I have known about him?? We looked for him in every toy store we went to, but to no avail. Finally, in one of our family's many U.S. Air Force sponsored moves, we came across a Mr. Bim -- or at least one similar. I remember my Mom and Dad going into some small dept. store (that kind that are now sadly extinct)while me and my three brothers waited in the car. They came out with, amongst other things a Mr. Bim!!!! I am fairly certain it was our trip from Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio to Schilling AFB in Kansas, which would have made it 1963 (and I was 3, so this is a powerful memory!!) Does anyone else have recollections of Mr. Bim, as opposed to Zip?? Bim had no clothes, just a black and yellow fuzzy plush body with white molded rubber tennis shoes and that ever-present banana in his right hand. He may have had red elastic suspenders with tiny bells on 'em. They didn't last long. Somebody please tell me I am not crazy! What is the history of MR. BIM?!?!?!?!

DANNY!, I dreamed recently that he came back into my life! I was soo happy. but it was a dream. I can't let him go. My zippo had a banana in his hand. I named him Danny because my brother Danny brought him back to Ohio from Texas with him for me. He was 18 and being medically discharged from the Marines. He carried him on the bus and chewed on his hand on the way home! I was 10 years old and have never been or ever since been so attached to a toy. I want him back ! ...and I'm 48. I've never forgotten him.

I called him "Zipper", and I got him in the 60's. My cousin Doug had one, and wouldn't share, so his mom bought me my very own. I loved Zipper! My big sister Sandi made new clothes for him and I used to paint his fingernails - which is very sticky on rubber. I still have him, but his hand does not squeak anymore, and he needs a new manicure. My cousin Doug's child saw his monkey in his closet one day and asked about him. My big, rough and tough cousin explained that it was his monkey, and he would keep him forever - even wanted to be buried with him! The next year, Doug suffered a heart attack and past away. At his funeral, I was doing ok emotionally until I stood in line to view the casket. What did I see sitting up beside him but his monkey! I burst out crying and am tearing up as I remember. His child had placed him in there, remembering his words a year before.

When I was a little girl of about 5, I loved my grandfathers Zippy so much that I asked him if I could have it when he died. Unfortunately, he was sick recently and reminded me of my niave request 32 years ago and requested that I pick up Zippy. He has since passed away and I have adopted Zippy. I knew nothing about Zippy until today. So many other people love Zippy, I had no idea. So, anyway...I sit here and see my Zippy and can only think of my grandfather and our happy times together...

My monkey was much likeZip, but he didn't have a real outfit. He was just yellow and black with molded plastic hands. He stood probably 24 inches tall. I called him Jocko for some unknown reason. I got him the Christmas before I turned 2 years old. He was my best friend as a little girl. He went everywhere with me, even though he was nearly as big as I was. I carried him for several years before he began to fall apart. We buried him one day in my grandmother's back yard in a very moving funeral service. When my first daughter was born in 1984, she received a monkey nearly like my Jocko, also from my grandmother and I received a big one much like him but he really wasn't the same.

I loved my Zip. I eventually added Tip (female version) and Chip their son. But Zippy was my favorite. I just called my sister and asked her if she remembered Zip-I knew she really had because she described the left over banana in his mouth. I was always feeding him bananas. His squeak in his arm worked til the end I miss my Zip and tell my children about him.

I got my Zip for my first Christmas in 1968 from my Uncle Ronnie. When I was able to begin talking good, Zip became more affectionately known as "Monkey". I remember going to my grandmothers funeral when I was three years old and my parents decided to stay at the house that night instead of driving all the way back home (over an hour) just to return the following morning. For some reason we had left "Monkey" at home and once I realized that we were not going home I freaked! I pitched such a fit, that my Dad and Uncle Don drove all the way to our home and brought "Monkey" back to me just so I would calm down! Over the years, Monkey has lost a foot, most of his fur, lost his hat and his shirt but I still have my best childhood friend vacumned packed and keep him in my home office. I don't exactly remember what it was about "Monkey", but as friends we were inseparable!

My Uncle had this monkey in his wedding. Seriously.
We all got a little Zip one Christmas. My Uncle is only a few years older than me. My Grandmom got him the really big one. We were all into this monkey big time. I don't know why.
Coming down the aisle at the wedding my Gram, and Pop held the monkey's hand so he swung between them.
Frightening.

What is it about monkeys? Zip was one of my favorite dolls, and I had many. I remember the plastic smell that lingered on him for years, and the feel of his fur.
I don't remember when I got him, but I'm assuming he was new at the time (why else would he have that plastic smell?) but I noticed that most of the ZIP posts are by people who are 15-20 years my senior. Did ZIP get reissued as a nostalgia toy in the 1970's? Those clever clever marketing folks

Zip was a friend of mine that I had from birth... I used to call him Mr. Monkey... I stopped sucking my thumb because chewing his fingers was more satisfying.
One day on the way home from school I found Mr. Monkey in the dumpster... his little shoe was showing. I rescued him and put him under my bed... so my Mother wouldn't find him and toss him out again!
Two weeks later she came in my room and sniffed the air... she knew... and I had to throw him out myself...
I wish I could have had him for my children and theirs...

I just bought a 50 year old Zippy monkey in an antique shop. I lost my Zippy went I was 5 years old and we never found it. I always remember that toy above all others. My sister wasn't even born when he was lost. However, 45 years later, I called to tell her I had found Zippy and she knew immediately what I was talking about.

One of my all-time favorite toys was Zippy. He had the yellow top and rubber banana that fit in his mouth. I couldn't say Zippy so I called him Zalippaly (easier, right?). I believe he got torn here and there, and my mom mended him several times. But I'll never forget how crushed I was when he got too bad to fix anymore. It was the loss of a good friend!

As a little girl my favoite animal was monkeys. I got monkey's every Christmas and Birthday's from everyone so I had a lot of monkey's. But, I got little Zip for Christmas one year. I named him "Chapipi" Not sure why. I had tons of monkey toys but he was my favoite. I STILL HAVE HIM, AND ANOTHER ONE MY SISTER BOUGHT ME because she thought I lost Chapipi and found one at a yard sale. I just saw one on ebay that is up to $75.00 and has a full day to go. I still dig that little guy out once in a while, he has been to art class to draw, I loaned him to my uncle to put in a window display in his florist, he travels every where I go!

Little did I imagine that there were other people out there with Zippy memories! I got Zippy and a big doll named Mary Ann for Christmas in about 1964. They were like friends to me...then you won't believe what happened. I brought them over to a neighbor's house and forgot them in her basement. When I went back to get them she told a wild story about a boy who came in the basement window and stole them and flew away with them. Even at four I knew this sounded improbable but being four, there was still room for it to be possible. Little did I realize that our family was moving the next week. We moved away without Zippy and Mary Ann and I think I cried for a year. I felt like I abandoned them. I can recall crying in bed at night and asking my mother if we could go to a doctor so he could give me pills to help me forgot Zippy. On a whim the other day I went on ebay and typed in Zippy. There he was..it's never too late to bring Zippy home again!..so I did a web search to find out about the different zippies that have been made and found this website..unbelievable.

My grandparents gave each my brother and I a Zip the monkey. I was four years old at the time. We called them Zippy and Zipperima, I had Zipperima and slept with her every night for a very long time. I have kept my Zip for 36 years and it is one of my most treasured things. I tend to sleep with Zipperima every once in awhile when I fell like remembering my childhood.

My god I love this Monkey, I called him Chim Chim because of the Speed Racer TV series..the monkey there was very similar and cute and named "Chim Chim". I have kept him for years and years and gave him to my daughter when she was born. My sister got him for Christmas in the late 60's I believe and hated him. I thought his little mishapen face was cute. I have held on to him and made a zillion people laugh with him, including my daughter when she was little.

People who think Zip the Monkey is creepy or scary, need to take a nickel and go down to Rent a Spine and get one.... Jeez, if a stuffed monkey scared you.....can we say sheltered. And to Mark, the fellow that some how implied it's gender...and then blew it up in a fit of homophobia....well first get some therapy..and pray..to whatever god you believe in...that you never meet a 6'2",mexican named Armando...

I have my sisters' Zippy from the 1960's and I have my kids' Zippy from the 1980's. I keep them lined up in a little red wagon in our spare room. I would love to find a new one for my grandson. I may check out the Crate and Barrel Stores. Does anyone else think Zippy looks a little like George W. Bush?

I got my Zip when I was 6 years old. My Aunt had bought it for me when I was in the hospital having surgery. There was a little girl who was 3 in the same room as me who was very sick. She didn't have anything to play with so I told my mom to let her play with it. The whole time I was in the hospital it never left that girls side. When I left to go home the little girl was leaving the same day both of us were better. Her mother gave me Zip back and thanked me for being so kind. It's amazing that a stuffed doll could bring so much joy and teach a lesson on kindness. I still have ZIP to this day. He still has his hat sewn on to his head and his original clothes. Along with him I have Chip the small monkey and Tippy the female version. Today I have many things that are worth considerably more money but ZIP is priceless when it comes to childhood memories

I own 3 large Zip the Monkeys and one little one. All look the same and are in great condition. Since I have always collected monkeys, I received my first Zip from my parents when I was about 9 years old. He was always my favorite - I even "talked" for him. Today both of my daughters own one Zip each, and equally adore him. While driving through upstate NY this past summer, we stopped at a Crate & Barrel Store. There on the shelf we saw new Zip monkeys. I bought one for myself & had a photo taken of myself with about 30 others. What a hoot to hear many more Zips exist even today!

I don't remember NOT having my cuddly little pal, ZIP. Lordy,, but I loved that chimp! There was something so lifelike about him, and he was just the right size and feel for a little kid.
It has been nearly forty years, but I STILL haven't forgiven my mother for unilaterally deciding that at the ripe old age of 7 was too old for such things, and gave my beloved Zippy to my kid brother. :(

He is also all bitten (fingers, ears and boots) from my teething days. I renamed him Michael and changed his clothes - in fact, I recently bought him new jean overalls... I'd love to buy a Zip for every child in my family. If anyone knows where I can find a new one PLEASE let me know. When I was about 6 years old, I begged my parents for a chimpanzee. I decided to run away from home after they ignored my request, and I can still remember asking my mother to help me spell the word "chimpanzee", which was included in the text of my run-away note. As it turned out, I never left home because Santa Claus gave me Zip the Monkey. I loved and cherished the little beast.

Ah, Zip. I had Zip since I was about 2years old. I remember when I was little putting a piece of fruit in his mouth and when I turned around it was gone!!! That totally convinced me that he was alive and really ate it! Zip was my bed buddy and I even took him to college. He's now falling apart and I would love to know how to get him fixed. He's in baby pajamas and I keep him in my dresser drawer. It still gives me a good feeling when I give him a hug. I bought the newer version of Tippy for my daughter and may splurge on a Zip for my other child. I hope they mean as much to them as Zip does to me. Oh - I can't figure out why mine has black shoes -do you think the white just rubbed off? I haven't seen another with black shoes - anyone know?

Zip belonged to my oldest sister, but I played with him all the time. He was just the right size to fit in my babydoll highchair while I shoved dry Captain Crunch cereal into his mouth. Oh wow! I can't believe it is Zip!!! I got him for Christmas when I was four yrs old. I carried that monkey around everywhere. His face and his banana was always dirty because he was always at my side. He sat on the cats and rode on the back of the dog. Almost 24 years ago, when I was a new Mom, I ventured into my favorite childhood candy store. Up on the top shelf, among the stuffed animals, was Zip (a smaller version of the Zip I had as a little girl). Though we didn't have much money in those days, I wanted my new little girl to have Zip too. I bought him. My husband had a fit because I spent $15.00 on him. Later, when Zip was torn and needed mending, my daughter begged me to sew him. As I sewed, I told her stories of my childhood. Those stories, including Zip found their way on page 2 of the Catholic Digest several years ago. The publishers paid me $75.00 for writing that article. Thanks Zip!
